Recording Studio – Terms & Conditions
Acapela Studios in Cardiff (Recording Studio Terms & Conditions)
When booking a recording session at Acapela Studios you are entering into a contract by which you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the band/artist to abide by the studio’s terms and conditions as detailed below.
Booking a recording session:
Session bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of the Acapela Studios recording team. We reserve the right to refuse and reschedule. Bookings are not valid until confirmed and required deposit paid.
If after two weeks of making a provisional booking we have still not received your booking form/deposit, we reserve the right to make your date(s) available to other customers.
A 50% deposit must be paid before booking can be confirmed. These deposits are non- refundable or transferable. The remainder of the studio bill should be paid prior to your session. If the recording session is broken up over a period of time, payment may be required either in advance or in instalments to cover time that has been used.
If your session over-runs, any additional time will be charged at 1.5 x hourly rate.
We will not release any audio recordings or master copies to you until the final balance has been received.All session files are deleted from Acapela Studios hard drives 6 months after project completion unless otherwise specified. Please bring a backup storage device if you require your tracks.
Breakages and damages to studio equipment
Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the band/individual. Refusal to pay for breakages will lead to exclusion and prosecution.
Personal items/lost property
Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Acapela Studios is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged on the premises.
Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the recording studio.
Acapela Studio operates a zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the studio; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy above.
