Reilly & Nitikman CELEBRATE the songs of Elton John …
Featuring singer songwriter John Reilly, whose band Boy on a Dolphin found success in Canada and the US in the nineties, since then his solo albums have received both national and international air play. Alongside John is Canadian pianist and songwriter Lewis Nitikman, former staff writer at EMI and producer of 3 gold albums in Canada. As a team, they have had numerous songs played both nationally and internationally.
John and Lewis are songwriters first and foremost, but, growing up on either side of the Atlantic, they discovered that the music of Elton John and Bernie Taupin has been a massive influence on both of their careers, so from time to time, they play these gigs as a homage to this amazing partnership and they are really looking forward to their first visit to the Acapela Studio. This will be a truly unique evening of stunning vocals and outstanding piano, expect to hear all your favourite Elton tunes including ‘Your Song’, ‘Daniel’, Candle in the Wind’ and ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ but also some you may not be so familiar with.
So this is not a tribute. No dressing up. No miming. No backing tracks. Just two consummate professionals celebrating amazing, timeless songs performed from the heart in a show that has people on their feet, moved and shouting for more from a world class singer and a world class pianist sincerely and honestly honouring Sir Elton John who has been a huge influence on their careers.
