Phoenix Morby started playing guitar some 10 years ago and he used to love to ROCK \m/! But his world changed the first time he heard Kris Kristofferson singing out on ‘Me and Bobby Mcgee’. The story and the visions it painted in his head came together like watching an artist paint on canvas. He was hooked.
Five years ago Phoenix started taking pen to paper and trying to tell his own stories, his own little moments in time transformed into song. He relived painful memories, fun times, lost loves and much more as he tried to paint the same pictures in his mind as Kris did for him all those years ago.
His first EP was released in 2018 and is 5 years of finding and reliving the best and worst stories from his life.
Derby Based Singer/Songwriter Kezia Gill, has been singing professionally for over 10 years. A delicious mix of Irish and country influence, her sound is completely unique. Kezia plays all over the country, not only performing her own material, but bringing her own vocal style to a variety of classic covers; With her unique vocal style, and skilled acoustic guitar playing, she makes every song her own.
2017 saw the official release of her self titled Album “Kezia”. It received support from BBC Introducing and the title track “House of cards” reached no 22 in the line dance charts.
2018 was an extremely successful year, seeing Kezia win Female Vocalist of the year at the CCN Awards, and take home the Peoples Choice Award for Soloist of the year at the BCMA Awards. 2019 already looks to be her best year yet, kicking off with a tour in Australia, including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and a trip to Nashville planned for later in the year., as well as numerous festival appearances yet to be announced. With new music and videos scheduled for release in the next few months, Kezia’s success shows no sign of slowing down.
“Kezia Gill is one of the most exciting artists to emerge on the British Country Scene in recent years, and I’m sure we will be hearing much more from this very talented young lady“ – B J Thomas, CEO British CMA
